Debuting in August of 2018, Sonoita will now have a regular stop on the ever-growing Trail Challenge Circuit. For many of us who no longer hear the bugle call of horse shows and endurance ride, the various obstacles of a trail course are a chance to play and train our horses with more than just circles around an arena.
For our debut we have the following Trail Obstacles completed:
- The “Pit”
- The Slide
- The Switchback
- The Narrow Gorge
- The Steps
- The Cake Box
- The Soccer Ball donut push (advanced!)
- Teeter Totter
- Large Gate
- Flat Bridge
- Water Box
- Back through / Sidepass
- Balance Beam
- Wagon Wheel
- Rock Pile
- Cavelettis
- Dead fall (century plant and yucca jumble)
- Clover Leaf (barrels)
- Move item from Pole to Pole (floats, slickers, stuffed animals)
- Plant the Flag
- Drag
